Use & Guidelines

Sand
Creek Regional Greenway is a mostly soft-surface trail, open
to all forms of non-motorized use, including horses. If you
are on bicycle, you'll probably want to use a cross, hybrid
or mountain bike. The Greenway is wheelchair accessible.
The
Greenway and trail are open sunrise to sunset.
Please Note:
Paved Section-The trail is PAVED from the South Platte Greenway to 47th and Quebec. Only a ¼ mile of this particular section is not paved.
Crusher Fine Section-The rest of the trail east of 47th and Quebec is NOT PAVED, but consists of crusher fine.
Some
guidelines for enjoying the Greenway
- Share
the trail and be courteous to others.
- Yield
to slower traffic and maintenance vehicles.
- Yield
to flowing traffic when entering or crossing the trail.
- When
stopping, move off the trail.
- Stay
to the right except when passing.
- Clearly
announce your approach when passing.
- Keep
pets on leashes, and clean up after them.
- Keep
trail clean and free of litter.
The
following are prohibited:
- Weapons
of any sort, including paintball guns
- Alcoholic
beverages
- Drugs
- Swimming
- Tubing
- Boating
- Unauthorized
motorized vehicles of any type
- Glass
bottles or containers
